The retail price of cooking gas in domestic market continued to reduce another VND36,000-37,000 a cylinder in early July.

Some major distributors have announced to drop price again on July 1st after Saudi Arabia oil and gas group (Aramco) cut price contract for July delivery to USD597.5 a tonne, downed by USD125 a tonne from June.

So domestic major distributors have adjusted retail price around VND36,000-37,000 a cylinder (depend on brands) over current prices. Accordingly, retail price to customer is prevailing at VND315,000 a cylinder.

So far this year, cooking gas has four times decrease in price, total VND170,000 a cylinder of 12kg from VND480,000 a cylinder.

Demand for cooking gas also improve a little after price cutting.
