Ministry of Industry and Trade has allocated the import quotas of 9 million m3/tonnes of petroleum products to 13 major distributors in 2013.
Accordingly, Petrolimex is the largest importer with 5.18 million m3/tonnes (include 2.54 million m3 of gasoline; 2.33 million cubic metter of diezel; 290,000 tonnes of mazut and 20,000 cubic metter of kerosene).
PV Oil is the second with 1 million m3/tonnes and Saigon Petro is the third with 536,000 m3/tonnes; and Dong Thap Oil and Gas Commercial One Member Company is the next with 515.000 m3/tonnes.
In the late 2011, Minitry of Industry and Trade has adjusted the import quotas of petroleum products to 9.978 million m3/tonnes from 11 million m3/tonnes as announced early year. And in 2012, Ministry also ordered major companies such as Petrolimex, PV Oil, Petec… to reduce imports. This year may be the same.
