The first gas stream from the Chim Sao to land
On December 6th, 2011 in Ho Chi Minh City, PV Gas and other partners have signed contracts and agreements for gas projects of Chimsao field belong to block 12W offshore.
Accordingly, PV Gas signed contracts with field owners on gathering gas from Chim Sao, simultaneously PV Gas signed contracts with Nam Con Son pipe owners include BP Pipeline Vietnam and ConocoPhillips Vietnam on transportation, treatment, management and condensates of gas from Chim Sao.
Two these contracts will take effect from December 12th, 2011 with total production estimated at 900 million cubic metter will be brought ashore from off the south coast. Chim Sao has reserves of 50 million barrel, which British Premier Oil holds 53.125% of stake, Australia's Santos Group holds 31.875% and PetroVietnam holds 15%.
Chim Sao is the first field of block 12W put in to operation. Chim Sao is expected to provide about 25,000 barrel of crude oil per day and 700,000 cubic metter of gas
Parallel to the signing of the contracts, parties together to welcome the first gas stream from Chim Sao mix with the Nam Con Son gas system to land.
