According to bulletin realeased by Petrovietnam, the average imported price of RON 92 gasoline in December 2011 increased 0,3% over the previous month, while price of oil products decreased.
In 2011, the imported price of RON 92 gasoline up by 11.5% over the last year, while kerosene, diesel and mazut increased by 18.8%, 24,8% and 35% respectively.
In April, fuel price reached peak. Ron92 gasoline was traded at USD127.53 a barrel, kerosene was USD132,6 a barrel, diesel was USD139.86 and mazut was USD684.08 a tonne.
Compared with prices from some contries in Southeast Asia, RON92 gasoline prices in Vietnam were VND5,737 a liter lower than Laos, VND5,485 a liter lower than Cabodia; VND12,736 a liter lower than Singapore and VND4,756 a liter lower than China.
In December 2011, the average price of WTI was USD98.58 a barrel, increased USD1.4 (1.45%) over the last month and Brent was USD107.59 a barrel, decreased by USD2.72 (2.49%).
