With VND500 per litter difference between gasoline A83 and A92 prices is encouraging some retail dealers to blend those together and sell as gasoline A92 price.

At the online briefing conference of Ministry of Industry and Trade on December 05th, 2012, Ms Dam Thu Huyen - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Petroleum Company (Petrolimex) said the gasoline A83 supplies are currently flowing in the market without administrion.

With VND500 a litter difference between gasoline A83 and A92 prices is encouraging some retail dealers to blend those together and sell as gasoline A92 price. Petrolimex has been tested and found poor quality fuel at some retail dealers, but they are not belong to Petrolimex’ administration for sanction.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade - Nguyen Cam Tu confirmed although has no any gas station selling gasoline A83 for years, but more than 100,000 tonnes still have been producing every year, mainly comes from Saigon Petro company.

Minister of Industry and Trade many times proposed for stopping the production of gasoline A83, but other ministries did not agree. This is one of reason for retail dealers take advantage in order to sell gasoline A83 as price of gasoline A92.

At this online briefing conference, Minister of Industry and Trade – Vu Huy Hoang instructed related agencies to withdraw firmly the business license of the fraudulent gas stations and continue to propose for stopping the production of gasoline A83
