Ministry of Finance has issued a document permitting major fuel distributors to increase double price from the Stabilization Fund of fuel products.
According to Ministry of Finance, the difference between the 30-day average price and current price of RON 92 gasoline from January 27th to February 25th was VND2,300 a liter, while other products include diesel price was VND1,133 a liter; kerosene was VND986 a liter and mazut was VND1,400 a kg.
In oder to ensure the macro economic stability and inflation control, Ministry of Finance gave the last decision on keeping fuel prices unchanging, but agreed to increase the price from the Stabilization Fund for all fuel products.
Accordingly, the price from the Stabilization Fund for gasoline up to VND2,000 a liter from VND1,000 a liter prevoiusly. Prices from the Stabilization Fund for remain products will be increased to VND800 a liter from VND400 a liter; to VND1,500 a liter and VND a kg for diesel; kerosene and mazut respectively.
Since early this year, Ministry of Finance has sent documents three times to major fuel distributors to call them on keeping prices stable and agreed them to lift price from the Stablization Fund.
The lastest increase was on February 8th from VND200 a liter to VND500 a liter of gasoline.
