Due to the continous decrease in price of gas in the domestic and world market recently, Ministry of Finance plans to restore the import tax rate to 5%.

According to the Ministry of Finance, since April so far, price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been following the downward trend, dragged price in the domestic market to VND340,000 a cylinder of 12kg in June 1st from VND405,000-416,000 a cylinder of 12kg.

Ministry of Finnance plans to restore the import tax rate to 5% for gas product in order to ensure harmonic interests for customers, importers and state. The import tax has adjusted to 0% since March 3rd after soar of gas price in domestic and world market.
