702--Subscriber note: Platts to discontinue Chicago LS Diesel in July
Houston (Platts)--26Apr2010/1233 pm EDT/1633 GMT
Due to the US Environmental Protection Agency's ban on refiners producing
500 ppm low sulfur diesel fuel for highway use after June 1, Platts is
planning to discontinue its on-road Chicago LS Diesel assessments on July 1.
The last publication date for the Chicago LS Diesel assessment would be
June 30. Explorer Pipeline already stopped shipping on-road LS Diesel into
If liquidity patterns change in this market, Platts may decide to move up
this discontinuation date, and will notify its subscribers promptly. The
