Giá dầu sáng nay giảm trở lại do USD hồi phục

Giá dầu ở New York giảm trở lại trong phiên châu Á sáng nay sau ba ngày tăng giá liên tiếp do đồng USD hồi phục mạnh so vá»›i EUR, đồng thời các nhà phân tích dá»± báo về sá»± gia tăng nguồn cung xăng ở Mỹ, báo hiệu sá»± phục hồi nhu cầu ở nÆ°á»›c sá»­ dụng dầu thô nhiều nhất này có thể sẽ dao Ä‘á»™ng.

Các hợp đồng giao dịch kỳ hạn trượt giảm do thị trường chứng khoán của Mỹ mất Ä‘iểm, đồng thời đồng EUR Ä‘ã rời khỏi đỉnh cao trong 05 tháng so vá»›i USD sau khi nảy sinh những tín hiệu tiêu cá»±c về vấn đề nợ nần của các ngân hàng Châu Âu, trong Ä‘ó tiêu biểu có các quốc gia Ireland và Bồ Đào Nha. Giá dầu thô cÅ©ng chịu thêm sức ép giảm giá nữa từ dá»± báo trữ lượng xăng của Mỹ khả năng Ä‘ã leo lên đỉnh cao nhất trong vòng 06 tháng qua.

“ Chúng tôi thật sá»± không thể quyết định được đối vá»›i nguồn tồn kho,” dẫn lời Ben Westmore, nhà kinh tế năng lượng và khoáng sản thuá»™c ngân hàng National Australia Bank Ltd ở Melbourne. Hoạt Ä‘á»™ng tiêu thụ Ä‘ã không có dấu hiệu cải thiện và hiện giờ giá cả hầu nhÆ° bị chi phối bởi thị trường chứng khoán.

Đóng cá»­a phiên Mỹ tối qua, chỉ số Standard & Poor’s 500 giảm 0,6%, còn 1.142,16 Ä‘iểm.

Giá dầu thô WTI giao kỳ hạn tháng 11 giảm 40 cent, tức 0,5%, xuống còn 76,12 USD/thùng tại New York. Lúc 10h23 (giờ Việt Nam) là 76,19 USD/thùng. Đóng cá»­a phiên giao dịch hôm qua tăng 3 cent, đạt 76,52 USD/thùng. Giá dầu giảm 4% trong năm này.

Trong phiên giao dịch hôm qua, 1 EUR đổi được 1,3428 USD, tăng 0.3%. Sáng nay 10h30 (giờ Việt Nam) tỉ giá EUR/USD giao dịch ở mức 1,3462. Đồng tiền Mỹ mạnh lên Ä‘ã làm hạn chế tài sản đầu tÆ° chống lạm phát.

Theo dá»± báo của 09 nhà phân tích do Bloomberg News, trữ lượng xăng tồn kho của Mỹ có thể Ä‘ã tăng 750.000 thùng vào tuần trÆ°á»›c từ 222,1 triệu thùng. Sá»± gia tăng trữ lượng tồn xăng có thể sẽ làm cho nguồn cung đạt ở mức cao nhất kể từ ngày 12/03 trở lại Ä‘ây.

Ngoài ra, các nhà phân tích cÅ©ng dá»± báo trữ lượng dầu thô có thể sẽ giảm 600.000 thùng từ 358,3 triệu thùng và trữ lượng nhiên liệu chÆ°ng cất, gồm dầu đốt và diesel, tăng 5000.000 thùng trong tuần trÆ°á»›c. 

Giá dầu thô Brent giao kỳ hạn tháng 11 giảm 33 cent, tức 0,4%, xuống còn 78,24 USD/thùng tại sàn giao dịch Ä‘iện tá»­ London. Đóng cá»­a phiên giao dịch hôm qua, giảm 30 cent, tức 0,4 %, xuống còn 78,57 USD/thùng.

Crude Oil Declines as Dollar Rises, Forecasts of U.S. Stockpile Increase

Oil fell in New York, snapping four days of gains, as the dollar strengthened against the euro and analysts forecast an increase in U.S. gasoline supplies, signaling demand recovery in the largest crude user may falter.

Futures slipped as U.S. equities dropped and the euro weakened from a five-month high against the dollar after renewed signs of debt problems at European banks and countries such as Ireland and Portugal. An U.S. Energy Department report tomorrow may show gasoline stockpiles climbed to the highest level in six months.

“We really haven’t made any headway into stockpiles,” said Ben Westmore, a minerals and energy economist at National Australia Bank Ltd. in Melbourne. “Activity hasn’t improved. The crude market followed equity markets overnight.”

The November contract lost as much as 40 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $76.12 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, and was at $76.31 at 10:23 a.m. Sydney time. Yesterday it added 3 cents to settle at $76.52. Prices are down 4 percent this year.

The dollar traded at $1.3428 per euro after rising 0.3 percent yesterday. A stronger U.S. currency limits investor need for assets to hedge against inflation.

Gasoline inventories probably rose 750,000 barrels last week from 226.1 million, according to the median of nine analyst estimates before the Energy Department report. The gain would leave supplies at the highest level since March 12.

Crude Stockpiles

Crude stockpiles probably declined 600,000 barrels last week from 358.3 million, according to the Bloomberg News survey. Inventories of distillate fuel, a category that includes heating oil and diesel, climbed 500,000 barrels, the survey shows.

Crude fell after the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index lost 0.6 percent, to 1,142.16 in New York yesterday. The Dow slumped 48.22 points, or 0.4 percent, to 10,812.04.

The S&P/Case Shiller 20-city home price index probably fell 0.1 percent in July, the first decline in four months, according to a Bloomberg News survey before a report today. In the 12 months ended July, home values probably rose 3.1 percent, down from a 4.2 percent gain in the year ended June.

“It does seem that the U.S. housing market is starting to bottom,” National Australia Bank’s Westmore said. “People will be looking closely at house prices to work out whether consumer spending is going to pick up, and as a result, all of those end uses for oil.”

Brent crude oil for November delivery declined as much as 33 cents, or 0.4 percent, to $78.24 on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. Yesterday it fell 30 cents, or 0.4 percent, to settle at $78.57.
