Giá dầu rÆ¡i khỏi đỉnh cao nhất trong 3 tháng

Hôm nay dầu thô tại New York không trụ vững được ở đỉnh trên 82 USD/thùng, mức cao nhất trong 3 tháng, mà Ä‘ã rá»›t giá trở lại trong ná»—i lo ngại về tốc Ä‘á»™ tăng trưởng của nhu cầu nhiên liệu tại Mỹ, do phục hồi kinh tế có thể bị chững lại.

Đây là lần đầu tiên giá giảm trong 5 ngày giao dịch vừa qua, sau khi chứng khoán Hoa Kỳ sụt giảm, nguyên nhân đến từ những số liệu về doanh số bán nhà ở, số Ä‘Æ¡n đặt hàng công nghiệp và chi tiêu cho tiêu dùng. Những con số này đều Ä‘i xuống do tâm lý nghi ngại về tốc Ä‘á»™ phục hồi kinh tế tại đất nÆ°á»›c này. Trong khi Ä‘ó, tồn kho xăng tuần trÆ°á»›c lại tăng 2,3 triệu thùng, viện quản lý xăng dầu (API) cho biết.

“Tôi cho rằng Ä‘ang có má»™t bài kiểm tra thá»±c tế xem liệu nÆ°á»›c Mỹ có chút nào kém vững chãi hay không,” Peter McGuire tại CWA Global Markets Pty nhận định.

Trên sàn Nymex, dầu thô tÆ°Æ¡ng lai giao tháng 9 giảm 39 cents, hay 0,5% xuống 82,16 USD/thùng. TrÆ°á»›c Ä‘ó lúc 10h39 sáng giờ Sydney giá là 82,20 USD/thùng. Hôm qua, hợp đồng này tăng 1,21 USD, tức 1,5% lên 82,55 USD/thùng – đỉnh cao nhất tính từ ngày 4/5. Tính từ đầu năm nay các hợp đồng tÆ°Æ¡ng lai Ä‘ã tăng 3,6%.

Tháng 6 vừa qua chi tiêu cho mua nhà ở tại Mỹ - chiếm 70% GDP của nền kinh tế - không hề biến chuyển so vá»›i tháng 5, theo số liệu từ bá»™ ThÆ°Æ¡ng mại. Trong khi Ä‘ó số hợp đồng mua những ngôi nhà xây sẵn Ä‘á»™t ngá»™t giảm xuống, tiếp theo sá»± sụt giảm của tháng trÆ°á»›c Ä‘ó, còn số Ä‘Æ¡n đặt hàng công nghiệp thì giảm gấp Ä‘ôi Æ°á»›c tính của các nhà kinh tế.

Ngược lại, tồn kho dầu thô tuần trÆ°á»›c giảm 776.000 thùng, viện xăng dầu cho biết. Tuy nhiên báo cáo của bá»™ Năng lượng sẽ được công bố vào muá»™n ngày hôm nay, và các nhà phân tích do Bloomberg phỏng vấn dá»± Ä‘oán tồn kho hầu nhÆ° chắc chắn Ä‘ã giảm 1,65 triệu thùng. 

Nhu cầu xăng

Tiêu thụ xăng tại Mỹ tuần trÆ°á»›c tăng 0,7% lên cao nhất trong 4 tuần, chủ yếu là từ các khu vá»±c Trung Tây và bờ biển phía Đông nÆ°á»›c này. Tiêu dùng xăng cho ô tô trung bình 9,572 triệu thùng/ngày, tăng 453000 thùng so vá»›i tuần trÆ°á»›c nữa.

Trên sàn ICE Future Europe lúc 10h23 sáng giờ Sydney, dầu thô Brent tÆ°Æ¡ng lai giao tháng 9 giảm 17 cents xuống 82,51 USD/thùng. Hôm quan, hợp đồng này tăng 1,86 USD, hay 2,3% lên chốt phiên 82,68 USD/thùng.

Oil Falls From Three-Month High on Concerns Over Strength of U.S. Recovery

Crude oil declined from a three-month high above $82 a barrel in New York as equities dropped amid concerns the pace of fuel demand may weaken as the U.S. economic recovery falters.

Oil fell for the first time in five days after U.S. stocks slumped as weaker-than-estimated data on home sales, factory orders and consumer spending cast doubt on the strength of the economic recovery. Gasoline inventories increased 2.3 million barrels last week, the American Petroleum Institute said.

“I think there is more of a reality check that the U.S. is a bit shaky,” said Peter McGuire, managing director of CWA Global Markets Pty in Sydney.

Crude oil for September delivery dropped as much as 39 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $82.16 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was at $82.20 at 10:39 a.m. Sydney time. Yesterday, the contract rose $1.21, or 1.5 percent, to $82.55, the highest settlement since May 4. Futures have gained 3.6 percent this year.

U.S. household purchases, which account for about 70 percent of the economy, were unchanged from May, according to figures from the Commerce Department. Contracts to buy existing houses unexpectedly dropped for a second month and factory bookings fell more than twice as much as economists estimated, other reports showed.

Crude oil inventories declined 776,000 barrels last week, the Petroleum Institute said. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg News before an Energy Department report today said stockpiles probably fell 1.65 million barrels.

Gasoline Demand

U.S. gasoline demand increased 0.7 percent last week to a four-week high as consumption rose in the Midwest and East Coast regions, MasterCard Inc. said. Motorists bought an average 9.572 million barrels of fuel a day in the week ended July 30, up 453,000 barrels from the prior week, the second-biggest payments network company said yesterday in its SpendingPulse report.

The Petroleum Institute collects stockpile information on a voluntary basis from operators of refineries, bulk terminals and pipelines. The government requires that reports be filed with the Energy Department for its weekly survey.

Brent crude for September settlement traded at $82.51 a barrel, down 17 cents, on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange at 10:23 a.m. Sydney time. Yesterday, the contract rose $1.86, or 2.3 percent, to end the session at $82.68.
