Cooking gas retailers said that gas price may rise in the next month, following the increase of world gas price as well as supply shortage.
A retailer in Ho Chi Minh city stressed the adjustment of price may take place in September, around VND30,000-35,000 a cylinder of 12kg.
He added that gas supplies from major distributors are not available now, while price in the world market also increased by USD100-145 a tonne from the early this month.
Mr Nguyen Tien Thoa- Director of Price Management Department from Ministry of Finance told that Department has no receive any registration for price increase further in recent days after receiving the registration for price up by VND50,000 a cylinder of 12kg in August 1st. However, Mr Thoa noted he will check immediately the gas prices in the market.
