Officials from major distributors of fuel said The Economy Times on June 17th that contract price of gas (CP) for July delivery is expected to increase in the near future.
Specifically, Aramco Oil and Gas Corporation of Saudi Arabia released and estimate in the last weekend on CP price for July delivery may be at USD782.5 a tonne, up by USD25 a tonne from price for June delivery.
Currently, major distributors are waiting the official price for July delivery from Aramco in order to decide retail price for domestic market. If price increased by USD25 a tonne as expectation, retail of gas in the domestic market would up by VND8,000 a cylinder of 12kg.
In the early month, retail price of cooking gas has rebounded after consecutive six months decline. However, the increase was only VND1,000 a cylinder of 12kg.
