On September 10, some major distributors said they has sent a proposal to Ministry of Finance to approve the fuel price increase again, ten days since the latest increase.
If the proposal is approved by Ministry of Finance, the retail price of A92 gasoline in domestic market will break old record and hit new peak at VND24,000 a liter.
At the press of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr Vo Van Quyen, Director of Domestic Market Department said that MIT will continue to operate fuel price follow market price under state control to avoid uncertain.
“We are considering to use management tools such as tax, price stabilization and will adjust price without impact on life of people, enterprises and government”, Mr Quyen added.
Saturday, last week, major distributors has sent a registration price document to MIT for approving an increase prices of VND1,300 a liter for oil product and VND1,000 a liter of gasoline.
Taking to VnEconomy, offical from a major distributors in the south of Vietnam said the differences between base price and current price of fuel are at VND1,300 a liter for oil product and VND1,000 for gasoline till to late September 9th.
However, Mr Tran Ngoc Nam- Deputy Director General from Petrolimex told his company does not send any document for price increase so far.
