Ministry of Finance (MoF) said on October 22nd that it should not adjust fuel prices in being time despite 30-days average fuel prices in the world market seem to be slightly lower than the previous 30-days average price.

According to MoF, major distributors making loss by VND100 per liter (depend on products) include fixed profit of VND300 a liter, but making profit about VND200 a liter without fixed profit.

To prevent traders from hoarding, Price Managerment Department (Ministry of Finance) said they has submitted a measure by shorten response time after receiving the price registration dossiers from major distributors.

As current regulation, management agencies must give their response within two days if see an unreasonable increases of price. The Ministry of Finance is considering the stages of price registration and will give the specific guides in this week.
