(AGI) Houston, Mar 5 -There are grounds for optimism about Libya's oil production capacity even if the transition will take time after Muammar Gaddafi systematically destroyed all the Country's institutions, said Paolo Scaroni, the CEO of Italian energy company Eni. "In Libya we currently produce 220-230,000 barrels a day, which correspond to roughly 80 percent of our maximum capacity. We are managing a difficult situation reasonably well", Scaroni told CERAweek participants on Wednesday. Libya remains a priority for Eni, he went on.
"Difficulties depend on the fact that Libya has come out of a dictatorship that lasted 42 years, an extremely long period of time".
