Mr Nguyen Hoai Giang- General Director of Binh Son Oil Refining and Petrochemical Co., ltd (Quang Ngai province) said that Dung Quat oil refinery will re-operate in the early next month.
Dung Quat oil refinery stoppaged in May 18th for permiting Vietam Oil and Gas group and Technip contractor to review the damages and malfunctions of techniques after two years operation. At the result, they found 4 major technical errors and 15 minor technical errors.
It is expected that all errors shall be completed in the late of June. This is the final test between Vietam Oil and Gas group and Technip contractor before giving back it for the investor.
According to Mr Giang, so far this year, Dung Quat oil refinery has imported about 3 million tonnes of crude oil (accounted for more than 46% of Plan). It also produced around 2.63 million tonnes fuel products and sold in the market about 2.71 million tonnes, worth VND59 trillion, contributed VND7 trillion in State budget (accounted for more than 47% of the plan).
