After suspened a week for broblem repairs at cracking workshop, Dung Quat oil refinery will resume it opereration in August 17th.

Mr Nguyen Hoai Giang- General Director of Binh Son Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (Parent of Dung Quat oil refinery) said that incident has been seen by Technip constructors, so we do not pay any extra cost for mending.

As the largest oil refinery of Vietnam paused production leading to supply shortage, so fuel companies have been seeking supplies from mid-east for replacemen, caused concern consumers regardless the problem can completely control.

Dung Quat oil refinery commenced in late 2005 with total invesment of more than USD3 billion (about VND40 thousand billion). In 2009, plant went in to operation.

Contractors paticipated to buil plant include Technip (France), Technip (Malaysia), JGC (Japan) and Tecnicas Reunidas (Spain).
