Dầu thô hÆ°á»›ng đến má»™t tuần giảm giá

Giá dầu thô trong phiên châu Á sáng nay Ä‘ã giảm xuống mức thấp trong gần má»™t tuần do công ty năng lượng Enbridge chuẩn bị cho hoạt Ä‘á»™ng trở lại đường ống cung cấp dầu thô từ Canada tá»›i các nhà máy lọc dầu ở vùng Trung tây, Mỹ.

Hợp đồngc giao dịch kỳ hạn Ä‘ã giảm xuống 1.9 % vào hôm qua sau khi Enbridge công bố kế hoạch sẽ tái khởi Ä‘á»™ng lại đường ống dẫn dầu vào hôm nay sau khi hoàn tất công Ä‘oạn sá»­a chữa rò rỉ hồi tuần trÆ°á»›c tại Illinois. Đồng thời, công ty này cÅ©ng thảo luận về việc cho hoạt Ä‘á»™ng lại đường ống Ä‘ã bị Ä‘óng cá»­a hồi 26/07 ở Michigan sau vụ hÆ° hỏng.

“ Đầu tuần này, Enbridge nói rằng họ không biết khi nào đường ống 6A sẽ hoạt Ä‘á»™ng trở lại, nhÆ°ng mọi thứ giờ Ä‘ã ổn và giá dầu cÅ©ng vì thế mà giảm nhẹ”, dẫn lời Ben Westmore, nhà kinh tế về năng lượng và khoáng sản thuá»™c Ngân hàng National Australia Bank Ltd ở Melbourne cho hay.

Lúc 8h02 sáng nay (theo giờ Việt Nam) hợp đồng giao kỳ hạn tháng 10 đứng ở mức 74.55 USD/ thùng, giảm 2 cents, tại New York. Hôm qua, hợp đồng này giảm 1,45 USD còn 74.57 USD/thùng, mức giảm lá»›n nhất kể từ ngày 31/08 đến nay. Riêng trong tuần này giá dầu cÅ©ng Ä‘ã mất 2.5 %.

Cảnh báo về bão.

CÆ¡n bão nhiệt Ä‘á»›i Karl được dá»± báo trở thành bão lá»›n vào hôm nay ở miền nam vùng vịnh Mexico, kết hợp vá»›i dá»± báo về cÆ¡n bão Irgo ở quần đảo Bermuda sẽ là cá»±c kỳ nguy hiểm, Ä‘ã đổ bá»™ vào Đại Tây DÆ°Æ¡ng vào hôm qua.  

Trong tháng này, OPEC sẽ giảm khối lượng xuất khẩu dầu khoảng 1.2% do sá»± khôi phục nền kinh tế toàn cầu chậm chạp, Oil Movements nhận định. Tổ chức các quốc gia xuất khẩu dầu khí, cung cấp khoảng 40% trữ lượng dầu cho toàn cầu, sẽ xuất khẩu khoảng 23.2 triệu thùng/ngày trong vòng 4 tuần, tá»›i ngày 02/10, giảm từ mức 23.47 triệu thùng/ngày trong tháng tính đến ngày 04/09, theo báo cáo của hãng cố vấn Halifax, có trụ sở tại Anh cho biết.

Giá dầu thô Brent giao dịch kỳ hạn tháng 11 tại London ở mức 78.47 USD/ thùng, giảm 1 cent, trong khi ngày hôm qua giảm 98 cents, tức 1.2 %, ở mức 78.48 USD/thùng.

Crude Oil Heads for Weekly Decline as Enbridge Says Pipeline Will Start

Oil traded near a one-week low as Enbridge Energy Partners LP prepared to start a pipeline that supplies Canadian crude to refineries in the U.S. Midwest.

Futures declined 1.9 percent yesterday after Enbridge said it plans to restart the pipeline today after repairing a leak discovered last week in Illinois. The company, which also shut a line in Michigan on July 26 after a rupture, said it has discussed the startup with federal regulators.

“Earlier in the week Enbridge said they didn’t know when the pipeline would be restarted so I think markets priced that in,” said Ben Westmore, a minerals and energy economist at National Australia Bank Ltd. in Melbourne. “There’s no doubt that has had some impact on oil. Some people were acting on the possibility that it was going to be a long shutdown.”

The October contract traded at $74.55 a barrel, down 2 cents in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange at 10:02 a.m. Sydney time. Yesterday it fell $1.45 to $74.57, the biggest decline since Aug. 31. Prices have fallen 2.5 percent this week and shed 6 percent this year.

Oil futures topped $78 a barrel this week following the closure of Houston-based Enbridge’s Line 6A, which can carry 670,000 barrels a day of crude, equal to more than one-third of Midwest imports.

The 466-mile (750-kilometer) link has been shut since Sept. 9 after spilling about 6,100 barrels of oil from a section in Romeoville, 30 miles southwest of Chicago. The 34-inch line runs from Superior, Wisconsin, to Griffith, Indiana.

Hurricane Igor

Bermuda issued its first warning for an “extremely dangerous” Hurricane Igor, which intensified yesterday over the Atlantic, while Tropical Storm Karl is forecast to become a hurricane today in the southern Gulf of Mexico.

Igor’s maximum sustained winds increased to 145 miles (230 kilometers) an hour from 135 mph yesterday, making it a Category 4 storm, the second-strongest on the five-step Saffir-Simpson scale. It was 955 miles south-southeast of Bermuda moving west- northwest at 7 mph, the National Hurricane Center said in a website advisory at about 5:45 a.m. Bermuda time.

OPEC will reduce crude shipments by 1.2 percent this month as the global recovery slows and refiners in the U.S. and Europe finish maintenance, Oil Movements said, the ninth weekly decline reported by the tanker-tracker

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, which supplies about 40 percent of the world’s crude oil, will ship 23.2 million barrels a day in the four weeks to Oct. 2, down from 23.47 million barrels a day in the month to Sept. 4, the Halifax, England-based consultant said yesterday in a report. The data exclude Ecuador and Angola.

Brent crude for November settlement traded at $78.47 a barrel, down 1 cent on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. It fell 94 cents, or 1.2 percent, to settle at $78.48 a barrel yesterday.
