Dầu thô giảm giá sau thông tin OPEC tăng sản lượng, Mỹ chuẩn bị xả quỹ chiến lược

Dầu thô bắt đầu giảm giá sau khi OPEC tăng sản lượng và Mỹ chuẩn bị bắt đầu xả quỹ dá»± trữ khẩn cấp, dấu hiệu cho thấy nguồn cung dầu Ä‘ang dồi dào.

Giá dầu giao sau trượt 0.7%, Ä‘ánh dấu mức giảm ngày đầu tiên trong 4 ngày. Sản lượng dầu của các nÆ°á»›c xuất khẩu dầu mỏ OPEC trong tháng 6 Ä‘ã tăng 210,000 thùng trung bình ở mức 29.105 triệu thùng/ngày, mức cao nhất kể từ tháng 2. Mỹ sẽ trích quỹ dá»± trữ dầu chiến lược ra thị trường để bình ổn giá hiện Ä‘ang vượt quá mức cho phép.

Dầu thô giao tháng 8 giảm 64 cent xuống còn 94.78 USD/thùng trong giao dịch Ä‘iện tá»­ tại sàn New York Mercantile Exchange và đạt 94.79 USD lúc 9h30, giờ Sydney. Giá hợp đồng hôm qua chốt phiên tăng 0.7% lên 95.42 USD/thùng. Giá Ä‘ã tăng 30% so vá»›i năm ngoái và 4% trong tuần này.

Dầu thô Brent giao tháng 8 tăng 8 cent lên 112.48 USD/thùng tại sàn ICE Futures Europe – London. Dầu thô chuẩn châu Âu có giá cao hÆ¡n 17.06 USD/thùng so vá»›i dầu thô Mỹ. Mức chênh lệch hôm 15/6 Ä‘ã đạt ká»· lục 22.29 USD.

Mỹ Ä‘ã nhất trí xả quỹ dá»± trữ dầu thô ngọt nhẹ phối hợp vá»›i IEA trong kế hoạch bù đắp lượng dầu bị thiếu hụt do mâu thuẫn chính trị tại Libya cÅ©ng nhÆ° sá»± bất đồng thuận vừa qua của OPEC trong việc tăng sản lượng dầu.

Bá»™ Năng lượng Mỹ đặt tại Washington cho biết Ä‘ã nhận được hÆ¡n 90 yêu cầu chào mua. Các giao dịch hợp đồng sẽ kết thúc vào ngày 11/7.

Lượng dầu được trích ra từ kho dá»± trữ xăng dầu chiến lược của Mỹ sẽ chiếm má»™t ná»­a trong tổng số IEA dá»± định cung ra thị trường công bố hôm 23/6.

Ả Rập Saudi trong tháng 6 Ä‘ã tăng sản lượng 3.2% lên mức cao ká»· lục 32 tháng. Tổng hạn ngạch sản lượng của 11 thành viên, trừ Iraq Ä‘ã tăng 180,000 thùng lên mức 26.4 triệu, vượt 1.555 triệu thùng so vá»›i chỉ tiêu.

Giá dầu má»™t vài hôm trÆ°á»›c Ä‘ã giảm sau khi bá»™ Lao Ä‘á»™ng Mỹ công bố tỉ lệ thất nghiệp Ä‘ã giảm ít hÆ¡n so vá»›i dá»± tính trong tuần 25/6. Theo dá»± báo số người thất nghiệp sẽ giảm xuống 420,000, tuy nhiên, số liệu công bố cho thấy số này chỉ giảm có 1,000 xuống 428,000 người.

Crude Oil Declines as OPEC Output Increases, U.S. Prepares Strategic Sale

Oil declined, trimming the biggest weekly gain in twelve weeks, after OPEC increased output and the U.S. prepared to start releasing emergency stockpiles, signaling supplies are ample.

Futures slipped as much as 0.7 percent, dropping for the first day in four. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ production in June rose by 210,000 barrels to average 29.105 million barrels a day, the highest since February. A U.S. sale of 30.2 million barrels of oil from strategic reserves to help stabilize prices was “substantially oversubscribed,” the Energy Department said.

Crude for August delivery declined as much as 64 cents to $94.78 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange and was at $94.79 at 9:30 a.m. Sydney time. The contract yesterday rose 65 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $95.42. Prices are up 30 percent the past year and 4 percent this week.

Brent oil for August settlement advanced 8 cents to $112.48 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange yesterday. The European benchmark contract traded at a premium of $17.06 to New York-traded West Texas Intermediate. The spread reached a record $22.29 a barrel on June 15.

The U.S. offered light, sweet crude as part of a coordinated International Energy Agency release after shortages caused by political conflict in Libya and the failure of OPEC last month to agree on production increases.

90 Offers

“Over 90 offers to purchase oil were received” on June 29, the Washington-based department said yesterday in an e- mailed statement. Contracts will be completed by July 11, the agency said.

The U.S. release from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve accounts for half of the global total offered by the Paris-based International Energy Agency, which announced the action June 23. 

Saudi Arabia increased crude output by 3.2 percent to a 32- month high in June, a Bloomberg News survey of oil companies, producers and analysts showed. Daily output by the 11 members with quotas, all except Iraq, climbed 180,000 barrels to 26.4 million, 1.555 million barrels above their target.

Oil dropped earlier after the Labor Department reported that U.S. jobless claims fell less than expected in the week ended June 25. Claims slid by 1,000 to 428,000, compared with the median forecast of economists in a Bloomberg News survey of a drop to 420,000.
