Dầu thô giảm giá ngày thứ 2 tại New York khi giá»›i đầu tÆ° cho rằng những dấu hiệu kinh tế Ä‘i xuống của Mỹ và Trung Quốc sẽ hạ triển vọng nhu cầu tại hai quốc gia tiêu thụ lá»›n nhất thế giá»›i này.

Giá giao sau hôm nay tiếp tục giảm 0.6%. Má»™t cuá»™c khảo sát hôm 3/9 cho thấy, ngành công nghiệp dịch vụ của Trung Quốc Ä‘ã phát triển chậm lại và báo cáo hôm 2/9 cho thấy, tỉ lệ thất nghiệp Mỹ trong tháng 8 vẫn đứng lại ở mức cao. Dầu thô giao tháng 10 giảm 55 cent xuống còn 85.90 USD/thùng trong giao dịch Ä‘iện tá»­ tại sàn New York Mercantile Exchange và đạt 85.94 USD. Giá hợp đồng giảm 2.48 USD, tÆ°Æ¡ng Ä‘Æ°Æ¡ng 2.8%, xuống 86.45 USD/thùng hôm 2/9 sau báo cáo số liệu lao Ä‘á»™ng Mỹ. Giá hiện Ä‘ã tăng 15.5% so vá»›i năm ngoái. Dầu thô Brent giao tháng 10 đạt 111.99 USD, giảm 34 cent tại sàn ICE Futures Europe – London. Giao dịch chuẩn châu Âu chênh lệch 26.05 USD so vá»›i dầu thô Mỹ, ká»· lục chênh lệch đạt 26.21 USD hôm 19/8.

Bá»™ Lao Ä‘á»™ng tại Washington cho biết, mức chi trả lÆ°Æ¡ng của Mỹ tháng trÆ°á»›c vẫn duy trì không đổi, mức thấp nhất kể từ tháng 9 năm 2010 sau khi tăng 85,000 trong tháng 7.

Chỉ số giao dịch của Trung Quốc trong các ngành phi sản xuất giảm xuống còn 57.6 từ mức 59.6 trong tháng 7, Liên Ä‘oàn Giao vận và Mua bán Trung Quốc cho biết.

Cục Quản lý Năng lượng Đại dÆ°Æ¡ng Mỹ cho biết, cÆ¡n bão nhiệt Ä‘á»›i vá»›i sức gió mạnh này hiện vẫn Ä‘ang ở vịnh Mexico khiến 60% sản lượng dầu mỏ và 44% sản lượng khí tá»± nhiên bị gián Ä‘oạn.

Oil Drops a Second Day on Signs Economic Growth Slowing in U.S. and China

Oil declined for a second day in New York as investors speculated that signs the U.S. and Chinese economies are weakening indicate fuel demand will falter in the world’s two biggest crude-consuming nations.

Futures slipped as much as 0.6 percent today. A survey on Sept. 3 showed Chinese services slowed and a Sept. 2 report said U.S. employment stagnated in August. Crude also fell as Exxon Mobil Corp. and Royal Dutch Shell Plc returned workers to some oil and natural gas platforms after Tropical Storm Lee moved out of the Gulf of Mexico. London-traded Brent widened its premium to U.S. prices for a second day.

“Oil futures fell on the weaker U.S. data,” economists at Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd., led by Warren Hogan, said in a note today. The bank estimates New York oil will average $100 a barrel in the third quarter. “The potential for some resurrection in the U.S. labor market now increasingly looks reliant on further policy stimulus.”

Crude for October delivery fell as much as 55 cents to $85.90 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange and was at $85.94 at 9:12 a.m. Sydney time. The contract dropped $2.48, or 2.8 percent, to $86.45 on Sept. 2 after the U.S. jobs report. Prices are up 15.5 percent the past year. There will be no Nymex floor trading today because of the Labor Day holiday.

Brent oil for October settlement was at $111.99, down 34 cents, on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. The European benchmark was at a premium of $26.05 to U.S. futures, compared with a record close of $26.21 on Aug. 19.

Employment, Services

U.S. payrolls were unchanged last month, the weakest reading since September 2010, after an 85,000 gain in July that was smaller than initially estimated, the Labor Department said in Washington.

China’s purchasing managers’ index of non-manufacturing industries dipped to 57.6 from 59.6 in July, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing said on its website. A reading above 50 indicates expansion.

Lee picked up speed and began a move toward the waterlogged U.S. Northeast after making landfall and soaking Louisiana yesterday. The storm was about 30 miles (50 kilometers) north- northeast of Lafayette, Louisiana, moving north at 5 miles per hour as of 4 p.m. local time, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory.

Crews are resuming production in the western Gulf after inspecting equipment for damage, David Eglinton, a spokesman for Exxon Mobil, based in Irving, Texas, said yesterday in an e- mail. Shell confirmed it began returning staff after evacuating as many as 858 workers.

Tropical-storm force winds remain in the Gulf of Mexico, where 60 percent of oil production and 44 percent of natural gas output is halted, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement said on its website yesterday.
